K-LITE Industries, a unit of 'Kumbhat Group', an ISO 9001 certified company, is situated at D-10, Ambattur Industrial Estate, Chennai 600 058, at a distance of 15 Km off Chennai Central. The factory and administrative office are functioning under the same premises. The company, after crossing the Silver Jubilee year has been steadily growing in the manufacture of electrical luminaires, marketed under the brand name K-LITE. Ranging from luminaires using tiny LED lamps, conventional fluorescent lamps, Compact fluorescent lamps, T-5 lamps, the products include Industrial Lighting, Area Lighting, Tunnel Lighting, Post top lanterns, Flood lights, Street lights with Mercury, Sodium, Metal Halide lamps and the recent induction lamps for road lighting, industrial and other applications. K-LITE has an exclusive range of outdoor luminaires as a standing testimony to their commitment to innovation, quality, durability and proven performance. The range of outdoor luminaires are very popular and extensively used in many prestigious locations throughout the country. K-LITE has the expertise to manufacture 'custom built' luminaires. Almost since inception, we are closely associated with the Indian Railways, catering to their wide range of Luminaire requirements. Proximity of Indian Railway’s most prestigious Passenger Coach Building Unit, Integral Coach Factory, and our capability to manufacture and test the custom-built luminaires enabled K-Lite to be in the fore front of their developmental activities and cater to the specially designed luminaire requirements of prestigious Rajdhani Express, Shatabdi Express, “Palace on Wheel” EMUs, Kolkata-Metro and above all the latest Delhi Metro (DMRC) coaches. K-LITE is fully equipped with 'in-house' fabrication as well as 'testing facilities' and the products are tested for performance to relevant standards. The illumination laboratory is fully equipped to International Standards. K-LITE, towards their contribution to the energy saving concepts, actively associated in the extensive use of electronic lamp ballast in fluorescent light fittings. K-LITE introduced the energy efficient 'Compact Fluorescent Lamps', and T-5 lamps, and now LEDs in all lighting fixtures for outdoor as well as indoor, resulting in saving of energy bills in a big way. K-LITE pioneered and embarked on several special designs and has a wide range of the facade lighting, soft lighting, direct / indirect luminaires. This is over and above the existing mirror optics and dark lighters range. K-LITE has now entered into the lighting of the future viz., LED luminaires in a big way and already a series of luminaires have been developed for indoor as well as outdoor applications along with signalling and signage. K-LITE recognised the importance of achieving the mandatory requirements now prescribed under energy performance standards and the concept of lighting for ‘Green’ buildings, and established a separate wing to adopt and research on these environmental friendly and energy efficient solutions. K-LITE entered into the export market during '91 and several of the luminaires and decorative lighting poles were exported to Russia, Dubai, USA, UK, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Vietnam and Tanzania in recent years.
